TIPS FOR SELECTION:
 
1. Thermocouples are preferred due to:
 
  • Faster response.
  • Wide Temperature Range.
  • Lower Costs.
  • Flexibility in designing.
  • Higher Mechanical strengths.
2. RTD's are preferred due to:
 
  • Better accuracies.
  • Better stability.
  • Repeatability.
3. Smaller Sheath Diamaters will give faster response. We can offer sheath dia. as low as 1.5mm.
 
4. Ungrounded Junctioned Sensors, through electrically isolated have sluggish response time. Electrical isolation better than 700 M at 500 VDC.

 
5. RTD's with 3 wire configuration compensates lead length resistance effect on temperature measurements as compared to 2 wire configuration.
